FiiO JD7

FiiO has yet again surprised critics and audiophiles around the globe by releasing their all-new single dynamic driver in-ear monitor – the JD7. It is tuned to come across as non-offensive and captures the safest tuning that will please the audiophile in you. FiiO has kept things simple while designing the driver architecture for the JD7. The FiiO JD7 features a 10mm dynamic driver having internal and external magnetic circuit arrangement that significantly increases magnetic flux density, allowing the driver to push more air and provide a more natural sound.

The FiiO JD7’s driver is housed in a dual-layer housing with a damping system on each layer to regulate unintentional vibration and resonances and reduce distortion, which leads to a quicker-sounding driver with deeper bass. Almost any source may produce excellent sound when used with the JD7. The JD7 is readily driven by even your phone thanks to its magnetic conductivity enhancer, which raises the magnetic flux produced by the drivers to over 1 Tesla and results in a sensitivity of 108dB.

SEMI-CRYSTALLINE PU POLYMER DIAPHRAGM PRODUCES UNIQUE SONIC CHARACTERISTICS

The FiiO JD7 hosts a polymer diaphragm and PU gasket for their distinctive and advantageous sonic qualities. Vocals get a melodious & luscious tone from the PU. The polymer diaphragm is responsive enough to move swiftly in response to analogue inputs as they arrive while being rigid enough to minimise undesired vibration and movement during significant driving motions. The result is a fast, clean sound with spectacular bass response. The FiiO JD7 is tuned very close to the Harman curve that will please most people and discerning music lovers alike. The FiiO JD7’s ear units are made of 316L stainless steel. The shells have metal powder that goes through injection moulding and is sintered at 1000 degrees in a process called metal injection moulding. This results in the JD7 being comfortable to wear, making them durable and resistant to wear and tear.

FATIGUE-FREE LONG LISTENING WITH SEMI-OPEN DESIGN AND HS18 EARTIPS

The semi-open design of the JD7 has sonic benefits by allowing for a softer yet more natural sound with an expansive soundstage. On top of that, the semi-open design; balances air pressure in the JD7’s housing, eliminating pressure on the eardrum and ultimately protecting your ears for fatigue-free listening. The FiiO JD7 comes bundled with loads of accessories. Included with the JD7 are three pairs of FiiO’s brand-new ultra-thin HS18 ear tips. With a thickness of only 0.4mm, the HS18 ear tips are light and comfortable to wear. The HS18 ear tips also feature a large opening the same size as the JD7 sound tubes to minimise sound barriers between the earphone and the eardrum. The FiiO JD7 also comes with the HB1 storage case allowing you to organise and carry your IEMs. The case protects your IEMs from accidental bumps and scratches.
